Lecture import

Turn any lecture into a whole study set.

Add a lecture however you have it โ€” a PDF or slides, photos of your handwritten notes, a YouTube link, or record the class live. From that one upload MedBank builds your note, a simplified version, two flashcard decks, quizzes, a cram sheet, and even a podcast.

๐Ÿ“„ Files & photos

PDFs, slide decks and clear photos of handwritten notes โ€” MedBank reads them and pulls out what matters, so nothing gets missed.

โ–ถ๏ธ YouTube & text

Paste a lecture video link and MedBank transcribes it, or paste a block of text โ€” either becomes a full study set the same way.

๐ŸŽ™๏ธ Record in class

Hit record on the branded recorder, capture the lecture live, then turn the transcript into your study set afterwards โ€” pause and resume any time.

How it works

Lecture to study set in three steps

1

Add the lecture

Choose a course and lecturer, then upload a PDF or photos, paste a YouTube link, or record it live.

2

Pick what to build

Notes and cards are always built; tick extra modes like the podcast or written test, or add them later in one tap.

3

Study it

Your whole set lands under that topic โ€” read the note, drill the cards, listen to the podcast, and track your mastery.

Import FAQ

Questions about importing lectures

What can I import?
A PDF or slide deck, photos of handwritten or printed notes, a pasted block of text, a YouTube link, or a lecture you record live inside the app. MedBank turns any of them into a full study set.
How does the YouTube import work?
Paste the video link and MedBank reads the video's captions, then builds your note and cards from what was said. It works on public videos that have captions or subtitles.
Can I record a lecture in class?
Yes. The recorder captures the lecture live โ€” you can pause and resume โ€” and afterwards it's transcribed and turned into your study set. Keep the app open with your screen on while recording.
What exactly gets built from one import?
Always: a built note, a simplified note, a primer deck and a recall deck. Optionally: a cram sheet, fill-in-the-blank, written test and a podcast โ€” build them at import or add them later in a tap.
Do I have to build everything at once?
No. Notes and cards are always made; the extras are optional, so you only build what you'll use. You can generate any extra mode later from the topic in one tap, and it's saved after that.
Is importing free?
Your first lecture โ€” and everything built from it โ€” is free. Importing more lectures is a premium upgrade.
